Attendance & Make-Up Policy: Collective Care: 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training

1. Attendance Requirement

To ensure core competencies are met for Yoga Alliance registration, this program requires 100% attendance across all scheduled modules. We understand that emergencies and illnesses happen; however, any missed training hours must be made up entirely before a graduation certificate can be issued.

2. Punctuality & Tardiness

  • Tardiness: Live online streams and in-person sessions will begin exactly at the scheduled time. Arriving more than 10 minutes late, or leaving early, counts as a partial absence.
  • Accumulated Minutes: Time missed due to habitual lateness will be tracked. Once accumulated tardiness reaches 1 hour, it will trigger a mandatory 1-hour make-up assignment or fee.

3. Make-Up Policy for Missed Online Hours

If you miss a live online session, you must complete the following steps within 7 days of the missed class:

  • Watch the Recording: Watch the full archive recording of the missed session.
  • Submit a Review Assignment: Submit a 500-word written summary or a completed module worksheet to the specific trainer who taught that session to prove comprehension of the material.

4. Make-Up Policy for Missed In-Person Hours

In-person sessions are not recorded and focus heavily on real-time interpersonal interactions and group dynamics. Therefore, missed in-person hours must be resolved using one of the following options:

  • Option A (Private Session): Book a private make-up session with the specific trainer who taught that session at the student’s expense of 45 CAD per hour.
  • Option B (Future Training): Opt to attend the exact missed module during a future training cohort, provided that the training is available and scheduled. Note: Choosing this option will delay your graduation until the module is completed.

5. Maximum Absence Cap & Course Dismissal

While make-up options are available, consistency is vital to your development. Students may miss a maximum of 15 total hours of training. Exceeding this 15-hour cap means the core requirements of the current program can no longer be met, resulting in the following:

  • Course Deferral: If a future training cohort is available and scheduled, the student may opt to transfer their enrollment and complete their remaining hours with that cohort.
  • Course Dismissal: If no future training is available, or if the student chooses not to defer, it will result in immediate mandatory withdrawal from the course without a refund.
