I won’t be reading poems
while you are moving and attuned
I won’t be reading poems
while you are resting
with a pose you choose
What was I thinking in the past?
Forgiveness is necessary
Too much going on already
Instead, these are the things I have for you
For us
Moving quietly and gently
with music to our souls
Followed by our sipping hold
of hot beverage with robust tone
A circle we’ll make
You bring one poem
Any author or your self’s
with your real dreams, not fake
Each soul takes turns
Reading aloud, one after the other
With no breaks
Adding the tranquility of a lake
Or the intensity of a quake
Attentive to each one
we will display respect
Until the muse is closed
In a circle of awe
There is a chance to mend
My vision is to gather great and beautiful people to practice gentle yoga for about 30 minutes, have coffee or tea, and sit with it in a circle for each person to read a poem that resonates with us at the moment. Each participant will bring one, although it is not mandatory.
We will close with a meditation or mantra.
I also invite everybody to bring the poem in its original language and, optionally, the translation.
